from 29 reviewsSuper easy and fun activity. Beautiful designs and colors.
Absolutely love it. Great for travel, daily mindfulness, as a gift, or as a low-mess alternative to acrylic paint. The images included are beautiful. The pen is easy to use but ours was really hard to unscrew the first time to fill. These travel really well, too. Each sheet is perforated so you can tear out the used pages and keep the mini book tidy.
This had been fun for those boring nights with no more shows to watch. Good for taking places as well with its small size all you need is water.
Unlike some others, I found the paints very easy to blend on the swatch & on the pictures. I love that the book includes many different animals & flowers & some neat bugs also! The range of colors made it easy to produce a variety of colors. Painting works great with the pen included or regular paint brushes. The pictures & swatches are easy to remove from each other & the book. You can enjoy painting on the go AND with friends! I highly recommend for artists of all ages.
I love this set. My kids love it. It's great to travel with or just to pull out when the kids want to be creative without getting a bunch of art supplies.
This set of watercolor designs are really good for car rides, and also at home where we can all paint them as we pleaseThe water brush is easy to refill and dispenses water in measured amounts so it isn't messy when painting because too much water was releasedThis is definitely a keeper for the car to keep the kids occupied
I absolutely love this fun little water color painting kit! Everything you need except the water is in this kit. My kids wanted to paint with me so I gave them a small jar of water and some extra paintbrushes so everyone could do it. I used the brush/water bottle combo that came with the kit. It worked perfect as the water didn't just overwhelm the brush but came out gradually as needed. The paint circles palette was more than enough for each picture. We had some leftover and painted our own paper so as not to waste the paint. I didn't discover it until later but there are empty pages toward the back of the book for free painting. This is a lot of fun and a very creative take on old school paint with water coloring books. I'm glad I ordered this and think would make a great gift for anyone at any age. Just to make sure we didn't get water on any of the other paint pages, we tore our pictures out before painting and that allowed for more than one person to paint. The pictures are pretty too!
This set is so easy to use. Just unscrew the paint brush, add water, touch to paint and paint. Very simple. The colors are easy to mix, the paper holds up pretty well to being fairly wet/saturated without warping. When you get to the end of the paint on the card the paper under can start to ball up a little, but there is extra paint cards at the end, so you have more available. I have been having so much fun playing with this set.
This small painting book is really portable and fun to use. Much like the paint with water coloring books from my youth, this finely illustrated pad has 6 portions of watercolor paint on each page. There are even several extra strips of paint, if needed. A small paintbrush is securely secreted away in the thick cardboard base. Both my wife and I were impressed with this product and would not hesitate to mention it to others.
Very portable craft for kids and adults. Make sure the artist is using plenty of water to get enough pigments to get solid color coverage. If the user is to young of a child they will make a mess, it is easy to squeeze all the water out of the brush in just a second or two. But a 6-12 year old will have all kinds of fun with this in the car, waiting room, or at a restaurant waiting for food.
Let me start by saying, WOW! This Colorful Dinosaur Pocket Painter is an absolute gem! As a grandma looking for creative activities to enjoy with my adventurous 5-year-old grandson, stumbling upon this portable watercolor painting book was like finding buried treasure.First off, let's talk about the aesthetics ‚Äì it's super cute and colorful! The dinosaur-themed illustrations are engaging and vibrant, perfect for sparking the imagination of any little explorer. And the best part? It's conveniently sized to slip right into your pocket or bag, making it an art-on-the-go essential! Now, onto the functionality ‚Äì simplicity at its finest! All you need to do is dip the brush in water or fill its reservoir, and voila! The colors magically come to life. With 20 pages to explore and 9 watercolor swatches to play with, the possibilities are endless. Plus, the inclusion of a waterbrush pen means everything you need is right there, ready for your next masterpiece. But perhaps the most heartwarming aspect of this little gem is the joy it brings. My grandson was absolutely enthralled from the moment we opened it. Watching his eyes light up as he painted each prehistoric scene was priceless. It's not just a painting book; it's a bonding experience, a canvas for creating memories together. And here's a bonus tip ‚Äì when not in use, it doubles up as a charming bookmark, ensuring that the adventure continues even in the pages of our favorite bedtime stories. In conclusion, if you're looking for a delightful, convenient, and endlessly entertaining activity to share with your little ones, look no further than the Colorful Dinosaur Pocket Painter. It's a roaring success in our household, and I have no doubt it'll be the same in yours too! üåüüé®
Very surprised by the quality of the water brush as well as the paint “pallet” on each page. Easy tear out. Easy to tear off pallet when done. Perfect for the little aspiring artist when supervision has to be minimal and you don’t want the full art kit out.
I'm very impressed! The pages are thick so there's no bleed-through. You can easily switch between colors without having to rinse the brush. The brush tip is fine so you can get as detailed as you want. Some nice touches are the perforated line to separate the painting from the paint swatches when you're finished and a designated space on the back for the artist's name and the date :-)
I was excited to try these, but I didn't know I would love watercolor so much. These make it effortless. The pen works with precision. The colors are far more than enough for the photos which I was skeptical of at first, too. The pictures themselves are very beautiful, and there is a variety of subjects in flowers and animals both.
How fun is this little portable water color set? Yes, this truly is portable... we took it to my oldest basketball practice last night, filled up the pen at the water fountain and went to town! The pen tho small, holds a good deal of water, enough to do at least 2 pictures. My toddler who is 20 months and is VERY busy, (like busy books are a joke to him) was actually loving painting for 5 or 10 minutes, in my lap, totally a score! AS he was painting my daughter who's 4 begged for a turn as did my nearly 7 yo, and everytime my oldest took a turn off the court he was like "MOM! Can I do that too?" They really love this set, so it's great to be able to pop in my purse and go, whether we are passing the time at basketball, or waiting for whatever. There are quite a few pretty choices to color in this book, we selected the animal one. Also, they included some blank pages in the back, with the paints attached so you can paint to your hearts desire. These pages that they have are nice and thick like cardstock. There wasn't any issues with bleeding through, even with the toddler and 4 yo swamping their page with water at times. Also they cleverly, included a piece of cardboard in the back of the book to give support without the need of a table. I do love how you can write the artist name on the back and then easily rip out the pages along the perforation to use as a bookmark or to proudly hang. There is definitely a learning curve, typical of water colors, to be able to have more vibrant saturated color. However you may notice that my natural artist of a *almost* 7 yo figured that out fairly quick. TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!The only potential downside, is there may not quite be enough paint for an enthusiastic artist!
