Fun

This is a cute little notebook for a little painter. We usually use our own paints with the other paints on the pages but it has a good variety of colors and makes it easy if you need something out and about. A restaurant would be a great place for this. Traveling in the car.

Wonderful watercolors

Unlike some others, I found the paints very easy to blend on the swatch & on the pictures. I love that the book includes many different animals & flowers & some neat bugs also! The range of colors made it easy to produce a variety of colors. Painting works great with the pen included or regular paint brushes. The pictures & swatches are easy to remove from each other & the book. You can enjoy painting on the go AND with friends! I highly recommend for artists of all ages.

Great for creative downtime

These is the best idea!! Easy to keep in a purse or beside the sofa for a creative activity that doesn't include your phone or television. They only complaint I have is the paint dots need to be a little bigger. There is not quite enough to finish the page. But all in all I absolutely love this!! No big cleanup, no space needed, just water and a paint brush. (which it even includes that too!)

Totally getting more of these!

How fun is this little portable water color set? Yes, this truly is portable... we took it to my oldest basketball practice last night, filled up the pen at the water fountain and went to town! The pen tho small, holds a good deal of water, enough to do at least 2 pictures. My toddler who is 20 months and is VERY busy, (like busy books are a joke to him) was actually loving painting for 5 or 10 minutes, in my lap, totally a score! AS he was painting my daughter who's 4 begged for a turn as did my nearly 7 yo, and everytime my oldest took a turn off the court he was like "MOM! Can I do that too?" They really love this set, so it's great to be able to pop in my purse and go, whether we are passing the time at basketball, or waiting for whatever. There are quite a few pretty choices to color in this book, we selected the animal one. Also, they included some blank pages in the back, with the paints attached so you can paint to your hearts desire. These pages that they have are nice and thick like cardstock. There wasn't any issues with bleeding through, even with the toddler and 4 yo swamping their page with water at times. Also they cleverly, included a piece of cardboard in the back of the book to give support without the need of a table. I do love how you can write the artist name on the back and then easily rip out the pages along the perforation to use as a bookmark or to proudly hang. There is definitely a learning curve, typical of water colors, to be able to have more vibrant saturated color. However you may notice that my natural artist of a *almost* 7 yo figured that out fairly quick. TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!The only potential downside, is there may not quite be enough paint for an enthusiastic artist!
